Smriti recall cards and flashcards: remember what you study

Reading feels like learning; recalling is learning. How spaced recall works in জয়যাত্ৰা and how to build cards that actually stick.

Smriti (স্মৃতি, memory) is জয়যাত্ৰা’s recall studio. Instead of re-reading notes, you try to remember the answer first, then check. That small struggle is what moves a fact into long-term memory.

How the schedule works

Your ratingNext review
AgainIn 10 minutes
HardTomorrow
EasyIn 1, then 3, 7, 14 and 30 days as the card matures

Each card comes back just before you would forget it. Flashcards are never scheduled after your exam day.

Where cards come from

  • Tap Save as recall card under any explained answer in a quiz.
  • In the mistake notebook, make cards from your mistakes in one tap.
  • Write your own in the workspace: in your own words, one fact per card.

A good review session

  1. Open Smriti. Only due cards appear.
  2. Read the front. Say the answer out loud before turning the card.
  3. Turn it (tap, or press Space) and rate honestly: Again, Hard or Easy.
  4. Stop when nothing is due. Ten minutes a day is enough.
