Smriti recall cards and flashcards: remember what you study
Reading feels like learning; recalling is learning. How spaced recall works in জয়যাত্ৰা and how to build cards that actually stick.
Smriti (স্মৃতি, memory) is জয়যাত্ৰা’s recall studio. Instead of re-reading notes, you try to remember the answer first, then check. That small struggle is what moves a fact into long-term memory.
How the schedule works
| Your rating | Next review |
|---|---|
| Again | In 10 minutes |
| Hard | Tomorrow |
| Easy | In 1, then 3, 7, 14 and 30 days as the card matures |
Each card comes back just before you would forget it. Flashcards are never scheduled after your exam day.
Where cards come from
- Tap Save as recall card under any explained answer in a quiz.
- In the mistake notebook, make cards from your mistakes in one tap.
- Write your own in the workspace: in your own words, one fact per card.
A good review session
- Open Smriti. Only due cards appear.
- Read the front. Say the answer out loud before turning the card.
- Turn it (tap, or press Space) and rate honestly: Again, Hard or Easy.
- Stop when nothing is due. Ten minutes a day is enough.
